A fatal snowmobile accident occurred in Worth, Jefferson County on Saturday night, January 11, when a 51-year-old resident of Watertown collided with a tree. State Police spokesperson Trooper Jennifer Jiron reported that a snowmobile rider was heading eastbound on the Horace Forward Truck Trail at approximately 9:50 p.m. when the incident occurred.
According to the police statement released Monday, The victim’s vehicle veered off the north shoulder of the trail and struck a tree. Emergency responders declared him dead at the crash site.
