Sometimes, before a woman notices any symptoms of breast cancer, the cancer can grow. Â However, screening mammograms have increased the total number of breast cancers found. Mammograms are not able to find every breast cancer, but a mammogram gives a woman a much higher chance of finding cancer before it spreads.
A new lump or mass is the most common symptom of breast cancer. Breast cancer can be soft, tender or rounded. Â Or breast cancer can be a painless, hard mass, which is the case for cancer most often. Breast cancer can also be painful. Any new lump, mass or breast change should be checked by a healthcare professional; one who is experienced in diagnosing breast disease.
Breast cancer can spread before the original tumor in a women’s breast tissue is large enough to be felt. If you notice or feel anything that doesn’t feel or look right, your doctor should be told. Of course these symptoms can be caused by other things other than cancer. But keep in mind, if you notice these symptoms, they should be reported to your doctor so that he or she can examine and evaluate the cause.
Included here are certain signs and symptoms of breast cancer. You should still consult with your doctor to find out more information about breast cancer and be taught the proper procedures for examining yourself.
